The Green Fund
The Green Fund brings sustainability and climate justice initiatives to life at UW-Madison. It funds student projects that address the environmental footprint, social impact, and operating costs of campus facilities to bring about long-standing impactful change. Students who propose Green Fund projects might find themselves meeting staff on a rooftop to assess the potential for rainwater harvesting, running greenhouse gas emissions savings calculations, or filming videos to tell the story. Selected as the Senior Class Gift of 2022, your gift empowers other students as they implement ideas that address climate change on the campus that we call home.
With increased awareness of the climate crisis, the Green Fund has seen more funding requests from students than it has capacity to support. Your donation lets UW–Madison tap into the creativity of our student body to demonstrate solutions for a more just and sustainable world. It builds student skills and experiences to affect concrete action to address the climate crisis here, now, and into the future.
